• How to Get Kanye’s Rosewood Movement Look
23 CommentsWhen Kanye West was on Power 105 last week, he explained the concept behind the Rosewood Movement. It goes beyond just throwing on a designer suit and a shiny pair of hard bottoms. The Movement is all about being a gentleman and representing yourself with the utmost class. It’s about “not cursing loud in public, pulling out chairs for your lady, opening up doors, calling your grandmother, and taking care of your kids.” If you don’t agree with the Rosewood mentality and prefer to be a jerk, but look good at the same time, follow this guide to get Kanye’s Rosewood Movement look.

• Rosewood Movement Attire at Secret Show
5 CommentsKanye West and John Legend were at the New York nightclub The Box last night to perform at their secret show in front of a crowd of 200 people. With Kanye’s Rosewood Movement on the rise as of late, everyone on his G.O.O.D. Music label and even the attendees were required to wear formal attire to the spectacle that one could essentially consider a black-tie affair. At previous Kanye shows, there had never been a dress code requirement for attendees or his artists, so one can surely get the sense that this whole Rosewood Movement is more than merely a way of dressing, but a way of life.

• Kanye’s Rosewood Movement in Korea
6 CommentsAfter Kanye’s Rosewood Movement was unveiled in the U.S. several weeks back, he and his inner circle have taken the whole “suits all day” lifestyle overseas. After performing at Singest 2010 in Singapore this past week, Kanye is currently in Korea to perform at the Summer Week & T music festival. The photograph below includes (L to R): Jalil WIlliams, Virgil Abloh, Kanye, Don C, and Tony Williams. The suit brands they have been wearing the past weeks are still unknown, but considering Kanye’s taste in high-end fashion, one can safely assume the outfits are from a luxury European fashion house.

• Turn Back Thursday: Kanye’s 2007 GQ Magazine Cover
No CommentsWith the whole Rosewood Movement Kanye West has going on right now, it’s appropriate for August’s Turn Back Thursday to take a look back at Kanye’s GQ Magazine cover after being selected as one of their Men of the Year for 2007. The black suit, white shirt, and black skinny tie are all from Calvin Klein’s Calvin Klein Collection, which is the company’s high-end line. Kanye has definitely never shied away from suits, but it will be interesting to see the direction of the entire Rosewood Movement. In the past, when wearing suits, it might have just been appropriate for the occasion, whereas the Rosewood Movement may be representative of an entire culture and lifestyle. No matter the purpose, this GQ magazine cover and its photos of Kanye, prove you can never go wrong with a nice suit.
