The Raf Simons velcro high top sneakers that Kanye West wore in Paris Fashion Week in 2009 is now on sale at the online flash sale site Gilt. Kanye was spotted wearing the Raf Simons velcro shoes at the Stella McCartney fashion show and Gilt is offering a similar colorway for $379, far below the retail price of $810. While the pair Kanye wore featured a black strap with black accents, the pair sold on Gilt has a navy blue strap with identical color accents. • Raf Simons Shoes in Post Interview of “Runaway” Premier

After the premiere of Kanye West’s 35-minute short film, “Runaway,” he sat down with MTV for a QA session and was wearing an all-black outfit with several contrasting gold chains around his neck. The same gold chains that Kanye wore during his live performance at this year’s MTV VMAs. The shoes he had on during the QA session were Raf Simons high-top sneakers that feature a velcro strap and a full-leather upper. The Raf Simons shoes retail for 500 euros ($696) and are part of of the luxury brand’s 2010-11 winter collection. They are currently available for purchase on the Colette online store. Kanye West was recently seen wearing the velcro high-top sneakers from Raf Simons‘ Raf by Raf Simons spring/summer 2009 collection at the Stella McCartney fashion show, as part of Paris Fashion Week. The leather sneakers, which feature a double velcro with black accents, can be purchased at the Colette online store for $575.
