• Kanye West Spotted at Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Paris
2 CommentsParis Fashion Week kicked off yesterday and Kanye West was spotted at the Lous Vuitton fashion show for the French luxury brand’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Dressed down for the event, Kanye’s casual outfit included a customized Mitchell & Ness Dallas Mavericks snapback hat, a plain white t-shirt, black pants, and his Louis Vuitton “Don’s” collaboration sneakers. 10 CommentsKanye West closed the 2010 MTV VMAs with his performance of “Runaway,” bringing out new G.O.O.D. artist Pusha T and using a MPC live on stage to establish the beat for the song. He wore a red suit, black low-cut shirt, gold chains, and his red Louis Vuitton collaboration shoes, the Don’s. The red suit is similar to the one he wore at this past year’s BET Awards and the black low-cut shirt and gold chains were revealed last week during New York Fashion Week. If you watched Kanye close the VMAs, this might have been one of his best performances from an aesthetic standpoint. There was a complete juxtaposition with the elements used, the red outfit with an all-white background and the MPC with the ballerinas, but all were complementary of one another and made the performance that much more visually appealing.

Again, pictures online do not justify the quality and attention to detail put into this collaboration between Kanye West and Louis Vuitton. There’s a specific reason these sneakers retail for $1,000+ and I think the excitement from Franalations in the video says it all.

6 CommentsSneaker connoisseur Franalations is known for his impressive sneaker collection and the reviews that he conducts on YouTube of his purchases. He’s created a very impressive internet following and if you’re not familiar with the name, I suggest you do a search on him because his collection is something serious. His latest video review is on the collaboration sneaker between Kanye West and Louis Vuitton, red size 9 Don’s, to be exact. Not only does the video reveal the sneaker’s high-quality construction, but also its great packaging. Each sneaker comes with its own canvas bag, 2 booklets (1 explaining the quality of the sneaker and 1 explaining the collaboration between Kanye and LV), and a little box that houses an extra pair of red laces. With Louis Vuitton, you get nothing short of perfection. Personally, I don’t think I’d spend $800+ on a pair of sneakers, LV or not, but Franalations does an effective job justifying the price and showing the sneaker’s top-quality.
