• Kanye at Bape LA Store December 20, 2009
1 CommentWith the release of the second Kid Cudi x Milo t-shirt today, December 20th, at the Bape Los Angeles store on Melrose, Kid Cudi will make an appearance at the store this afternoon to sign autographs and meet with customers and fans. I also got word from sneaker head Franalations that Kanye West may also make an appearance with Cudi at the event. I called the Bape LA store immediately after I heard the news and a sales associate was unable to confirm Kanye’s presence, but also did not dispel the speculations. For anyone in the Los Angeles area who is thinking of going, I suggest you call the Bape LA store to see if there are any updates on a possible Kanye appearance, but Cudi’s appearance alone should be well worth it.

• Make Her Say Music Video Outfit
14 CommentsThe music video for Kid Cudi’s Make Her Say, featuring Kanye West and Common, was released yesterday after much anticipation from many fans. The video was directed by Nez Khammal and features a horizontal split screen for more of an abstract illusion. Although the music video is actually pretty simple, the presence of these 3 artists and the overall message in the song is essentially what makes the video. Kanye’s shot took place in Los Angeles and wore the black flat-top Super sunglasses from RETROSUPERFUTURE, a green Army-like jacket, khaki pants (or khaki-colored denim), and wheat-colored 6″ Timberland boots.

• Kid Cudi’s Louis Vuitton Don’s
17 CommentsKanye West’s record label G.O.O.D. Music boasts the tagline, “The Best Dressed Record Label,” so it’s a must that every artist must come fashionably correct. From the luxury backpacks, Jesus pieces, and sneakers, they essentially have style down to a science. With the recent release of the Kanye West and Louis Vuitton collaboration sneaker, it’s only proper for the G.O.O.D. artists to support both mega brands. Here’s up-and-coming artist, Kid Cudi rocking a pair of the Louis Vuitton Don’s with Don C, who ironically enough is the reason for the name of the sneaker, brushing the Don’s in approval.

• Celebrities Wearing the Air Yeezy
9 CommentsCelebrities often influence the latest trends in fashion and purchase behavior of many consumers. It’s a trickle-down effect where items dawned by celebs makes its way to the everyday individuals we encounter on the streets. Kanye West definitely spearheads this movement, as much of his fashion sense has greatly influenced pop culture today (e.g. popped collars, slim-fit denim, vibrant colors, and shutter shades). However, not only does Kanye influence the average consumer (you & I), but also plays a pivotal role in his peers’ outfits.
