• Nike Air Yeezy Stress Test
5 CommentsSoleCollector.com member, Euthanasia, has put the Nike Air Yeezy to the test on the basketball court and has provided a review of the performance of the sneaker on the SoleCollector.com forum. You must be a member of the forum to view the thread, but it’s definitely worth the read and provides great insight on the sneaker’s comfort level, stability, durability, fit, and overall value. Here’s a little excerpt:
After getting the Air Yeezys from a friend, I decided that they had the ankle support of the older Nike basketball shoes, extra padded lining, padded ankle supports like the Jordan 5s, and a midsole that carried along through many of Nike’s shoes. Who said that the strap wasn’t useful? It definitely tightens the grip on the hold for the width of the shoes, so there’s a bit more resistance when doing quick motions.

• Air Yeezy VS Rocawear Evolution
12 CommentsAfter Kanye West emerged the victor of Style War against Jay-Z, Complex is at it again for another competition between the two. Kanye’s Nike Air Yeezy sneaker VS Jay-Z’s Rocawear R+ Evolution sneaker. The two are the first Hip-Hop artists to release a sneaker in 2009, so this battle makes sense. Besides, who doesn’t enjoy a little sibling rivalry?

May 9th, 2009• Tan Nike Air Yeezy
9 CommentsOn Saturday, June 6th, the third (and possibly final) Nike Air Yeezy will be released worldwide. After the success of the first two releases, expect the same outcome for these tan Yeezys– multiple-day lineups and outrageous market value prices. If you missed out on the first two and refuse to pay some absurd amount on Ebay, this may be your last opportunity to own a pair of arguably the most sought-after sneaker Nike has ever produced. Now, there have been several rumors that Nike will retro the Yeezy in the future, release them as a GR (general release), or even come out with more colorways. Again, it is all hearsay, so be sure to plan appropriately to ensure you own a pair of history.

• Nike Air Yeezy Charity Auction
1 CommentLevi Maestro has just put his size 11 black/pink Nike Air Yeezy up for grabs on Ebay where 100% of the proceeds will go to the Soles 4 Souls charity organization. Maestro created quite the stir after the release of the 6th episode of Maestro Knows, in which he wore his pair of Air Yeezys to skate around the city of Los Angeles. He did not demolish them, but he did just enough damage to make a Sneakerhead cringe. The same exact pair is the one that is up for auction. Maestro states on his blog:
As you know the release of these first two Air Yeezy’s has been pretty crazy, I must admit, crazier than I imagined. There’s a lot of people out there that have taken this way too seriously, I’m not knocking any sneakerheads, fanatics, etc., however when it comes down to you acting like a little girl because you might not be able to get the shoes…this is when it has gone too far….Nobody needs the Yeezy’s and I am one of those people, so I’m auctioning the shoes…
