• Good Wood Black Jesus Piece Significance
6 CommentsWith the release of the Good Wood Black Jesus piece at midnight EST on Black Friday, Chris Lee speaks with Time Out New York to talk about the significance of the wooden accessory. Since Chris first previewed the black Jesus piece on his website, CtotheJL, over a month ago, blogs and Kanye fans have been anticipating its availability to the public. Little was known about the release, as it was believed to be an exclusive for a select number of individuals. As Chris states in the video, the black Jesus piece will only be available for a 24 hour period and will never be released again. This is definitely more exclusive compared to Good Wood’s first release, the brown Jesus piece, which was available for pre-order on the Good Wood website for several weeks.
Check out the second photo below of Chris showing the back of the black Jesus piece made for yours truly. Thank you to Chris and the rest of Good Wood for the complementary black Jesus piece!

• Good Wood Black Jesus Piece on Black Friday
2 CommentsThe Good Wood black Jesus piece will be available for purchase on the Good Wood online store on Black Friday, November 27th. The piece will retail for $65 and will officially go live on midnight EST for 24 hours. After the 24 hour period passes, it will never be released again. For all those who truly want to “dress like Kanye West”, as this website indicates, go after this accessory. Even though Kanye may not have been the first rapper to wear a Jesus piece, he took it to a whole different level, abandoning gold, platinum, and diamonds, for a solid black Jesus piece that established a cleaner, more subtle appearance.

• Black Jesus Piece Comparison
8 CommentsWith all the hype surrounding the Good Wood Jesus piece collection, many of you have probably wondered how Good Wood’s black Jesus piece compares to the actual piece that Kanye West wears. Appropriately, Ben Baller (I.F. & Co.), the jeweler responsible for Kanye’s black Jesus piece, received the black and brown wooden Jesus from the Good Wood team during his trip to New York. Here’s a photo of Good Wood’s black Jesus piece (left) for Ben Baller in comparison to Kanye West’s actual black Jesus piece designed by I.F. & Co.

As stated in previous posts, the brown Jesus piece is currently available for pre-order on the Good Wood online store and the black is an exclusive for a select number of individuals. As for the two other pieces, no official word on it yet, but the homie Chris from Good Wood has informed me to expect additional colors in the future.
