• Give Me My Yeezys
2 CommentsUsing Kanye West’s hit single “Heartless” and the infamous auto-tune, Blake Carrington and O-Sound have recorded “Give Me My Yeezys.” The song is a parody that reveals the heartbreak of not being able to obtain a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy. A feeling we have all come to grips with the past few weeks following the May 2nd release of the sneakers. Very creative song, fellas. Kanye should send over a pair immediately for the suffering his sneakers have caused.

May 13th, 2009• Waiting for Air Yeezys
4 CommentsCheck out this interesting piece of footage from the UNDFTD lineup in Los Angeles for the black/pink Nike Air Yeezy. Be on the lookout for Kanye West’s barber/style consultant, Ibn Jasper, who is the envy of everyone in line and Tone, Associate at UNDFTD, who keeps the line in check. Very great camera work, especially with the use of filters to isolate the color pink.

May 3rd, 2009• Nike Air Yeezy Release Recap
1 CommentToday, Saturday, May 2, will arguably go down as one of the most memorable releases in sneaker culture history. The black/pink Nike Air Yeezy officially released at retail stores worldwide, fulfilling the fruitions of many Sneakerheads who traveled far and wide and patiently waited on city sidewalks, some even in unforgiving weather conditions, for a pair of what most consider the best colorway of the 3 releases. It is intriguing, from the outside looking in, to see the impact that a material good has on consumers and to examine the heights that which consumers will go through to be a rightful owner of that “thing.” So, what do you get when you put together the biggest trend-setter in Popular culture and a sneaker conglomerate with a commanding market share?

• Niketown San Francisco
2 CommentsThanks to Pogiwun we now have exclusive photos of the lineup at the Niketown in San Francisco. After speaking to a Sales Associate at 2pm PST, it has been confirmed that there are about 15 people in line and that Niketown will pass out wristbands and implement an official list sometime during Friday’s business hours. Also, the Sales Associate would not reveal the amount of pairs available. Good luck to all in the Bay Area. Good luck to all across the nation.

• Levi Maestro Skating in Yeezys
2 CommentsAmidst all the international hype that the Nike Air Yeezy has received, Sneakerheads need to keep in mind that it is still merely a shoe. Wear your Yeezys and break those necks. There is no way that you spent X amount of hours in line and/or paid an astronomical amount to NOT “turn your swag on.” Such is the case with Levi Maestro, who actually skates in his black/pink Yeezys in his 6th, and most recent, episode of Maestro Knows. Try not to cringe.
