• Black Jesus Piece Comparison
8 CommentsWith all the hype surrounding the Good Wood Jesus piece collection, many of you have probably wondered how Good Wood’s black Jesus piece compares to the actual piece that Kanye West wears. Appropriately, Ben Baller (I.F. & Co.), the jeweler responsible for Kanye’s black Jesus piece, received the black and brown wooden Jesus from the Good Wood team during his trip to New York. Here’s a photo of Good Wood’s black Jesus piece (left) for Ben Baller in comparison to Kanye West’s actual black Jesus piece designed by I.F. & Co.

• Plain Pat with 4 Good Wood Jesus Pieces
12 CommentsCheck out this picture of Plain Pat, Kanye West’s A&R and Kid Cudi’s Manager, wearing 4 Good Wood Jesus pieces, which includes 1 black, 1 brown, a never-before-seen red Jesus, and what appears to be a lighter shade of brown. As stated in previous posts, the brown Jesus piece is currently available for pre-order on the Good Wood online store and the black is an exclusive for a select number of individuals. As for the two other pieces, no official word on it yet, but the homie Chris from Good Wood has informed me to expect additional colors in the future.

• Good Wood Black Jesus Piece
11 CommentsSeveral weeks back I showed you the brown and black maple wood Good Wood Jesus pieces that belong to Chris Lee and Joe La Puma, respectively. Although the black Jesus piece is not for sale to the public, the brown piece is available for pre-order and ships November 15. If you’re trying to get your “Dress Like Kanye West” on, this is definitely a staple piece to complete the outfit, as the infamous black Jesus piece is known to be Kanye’s choice of jewelery. What’s better is if you’re trying to pull off a Kanye costume for next year’s Halloween, this Jesus piece will set you apart from all the other Kanyes out there. Here are additional photos of the black Good Wood Jesus piece from Emeka Obi and Marcus Troy.

• Jesus Piece Necklace by Good Wood
12 CommentsEven though the late Notorious B.I.G. is no longer here, his influence on a lot of today’s rappers lives on. Not only through lyrics and flow, but also through fashion. Biggie made the infamous Jesus piece his choice of jewelry in the 90s and a significant amount of rappers today are resurrecting the piece, YES, pun intended. Two rappers quickly come to mind- Kanye West and Kid Cudi (FYI Cudi’s Jesus piece is actually Kanye’s old one). If you’ve ever wanted to own a Jesus piece but didn’t have the funds and despised the cheap imitations in the market, New York-based brand Good Wood has got you covered. For sale to the public, the Good Wood Jesus piece features a 30-inch wood beaded chain and a maple wood Jesus pendant. For the lucky few who are friends, family, and industry heads, Good Wood has made an exclusive black Jesus piece just for them.

• Kanye’s Black Outfit
13 CommentsWhile on set for the music video shoot of the Clipse’s ‘Kinda Like a Big Deal, Emeka Obi (10 Deep), was able to take this photo of Kanye West. This all black outfit from Kanye is very appropriate because he’s just killing it right now. The black Jesus piece, the Flat Top sunglasses by RETROSUPERFUTURE, and the black collaboration sneaker, Jasper’s (appropriately named after Ibn Jasper), he did with Louis Vuitton. This proves one’s outfit can significantly be comprised of a monotonic color and still fail to deter attention.
