• Kanye Signs Air Yeezy Shoes

With all the talk and rumors of a possible Air Yeezy 2 release from Kanye West and Nike, it’s easy to just forget about the original Air Yeezy shoe from 2009. For one lucky fan, though, he made sure to keep his Air Yeezys on-hand when Kanye walked out of a New York hotel last week and signed the fan’s Air Yeezy shoes. In the photo, the fan is holding the black/pink Air Yeezys in his left hand, as Kanye dawns a fur coat and signs the second shoe, the zen gray Air Yeezys.

• Kanye West’s Greatest Footwear Moments via Complex

Kanye West’s eclectic shoe collection is highlighted in Complex’s recent “Yeezy Does It: Kanye West’s Greatest Footwear Moments” story. In the 75-picture gallery that shows outfits as far as 2003, Kanye can be seen wearing shoes from a wide variety of brands like Asics, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Timberland, and Vans. Looking through the slideshow of images, it’s interesting to note the year and type of sneakers Kanye’s got on. Early in his career, he wore a wide selection of styles from a multitude of brands, while in more recent years, he’s stuck to Nike Air Yeezys, Air Jordans, his Louis Vuitton collaboration shoes, and a small amount of other European-based brands. All of the outfits are pre-Rosewood Movement, so you won’t find any images of Kanye in hard-bottom dress shoes or Stubbs & Wootton loafers, which have been his preferred shoes as of late. • Turn Back Thursday: Ice Cream Sweater and Air Yeezy Shoes

Two year ago in 2008, when Kanye West was set to release his 4th solo album at the time, 808s & Heartbreak, he stopped by Power 106 in Los Angeles to do promotion and conduct some interviews. During his visit, Kanye could be spotted wearing a gray Ice Cream crewneck sweater  and net/net (tan) Nike Air Yeezy shoes. The Ice Cream crewneck sweater, part of Pharrell’s season 4 collection, was first previewed in May 2007 and the Air Yeezys were the last release of the Air Yeezy trilogy that dropped in June 2009.

• Grammy Air Yeezy for Doernbecher Relisted

For anyone that missed out on the Grammy Air Yeezy shoes, it’s been re-listed on Ebay by Sole Collector due to a non-paying winner when the shoes were first up for auction. If you have the funds, this shoe would be a valuable addition to any sneaker head’s collection. In case you aren’t aware of the relevance of this particular Nike Air Yeezy, it is the same exact pair that Kanye West wore at the 2008 Grammy Awards. It is a size 12 and only a 1-of-1 sample that Nike created solely for Kanye. Not only that, but the proceeds of the auction will also go to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The auction ends November 1 at 7:33 PST.
