• Horus Chain in “Power” Music Video
2 CommentsWith “Power” already playing on the radio for over a month now, fans can expect a music video to go with the first single off of Kanye West’s 5th album. Shot by director Marco Brambilla, the “Power” music video will have a dark theme that provides imagery of death where Kanye is apparently going to be executed. Based on the screen capture of the video, Kanye will be wearing the same Horus chain that he wore when he performed at the BET Awards 2010. The 24K yellow gold chain that depicts the Egyptian deity Horus was designed by Jacob & Co. and is worth $300,000.

• Spike Jonze Slaps Kanye
5 CommentsWith the iTunes release of Spike Jonze’s short film “We Were Once a Fairytale”, it is only appropriate for the public to view behind the scenes footage of the shoot. Here’s Jonze slapping an inattentive Kanye West, who happens to play the lead role in the short film.

• We Were Once a Fairytale by Spike Jonze
No CommentsBy now, I’m sure most of you have heard about the release of the short film “We Were Once a Fairytale” directed by Spike Jonze featuring Kanye West. In fact, some of you may have already watched it in its entirety since it was even posted on Kanye’s official blog (which was soon removed) and can easily be found on various video websites. No matter your thoughts on Jonze’s short film, I encourage you to support him and purchase “We Were Once a Fairytale” when it hits the iTunes store. The 14-minute short film is a great piece of art that displays the highs and lows of star power and perfectly exposes the “inner demon” that takes control of Kanye’s life. It’s definitely not filled with a cliche plot and leaves much room for interpretation; which I believe is the true beauty of it.
Again, I encourage you to support Spike Jonze and all his creative endeavors by purchasing “We Were Once a Fairytale” on iTunes.

• Ibn Jasper Skates Black/Pink Air Yeezy
1 CommentEven though the Nike Air Yeezy is technically a basketball shoe (or at least a shoe with a significant amount of basketball influence and construction), it’s apparently also a great shoe to skate in. Levi Maestro first skated in the black/pink Yeezys on episode 6 of Maestro Knows, weaving through the Los Angeles streets. Here’s a video of Kanye West’s barber and style consultant, Ibn Jasper, skating in the black/pink Air Yeezy shoes on the set of Kid Cudi’s Make Her Say music video shoot.
