• “Runaway” Short Film Premiere Reminder

The current single off of Kanye West’s 5th solo album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, “Runaway,” has been made into a short film and premieres today at 8 PM EST. The 40-minute short film will air simultaneously on MTV, MTV2, and BET and will be followed with a live QA session on MTV. After the premiere, we’ll have coverage on the outfit Kanye wore in the short film and live QA session.

• Kanye Wearing a Red Suit at the 2010 MTV VMAs

Kanye West closed the 2010 MTV VMAs with his performance of “Runaway,” bringing out new G.O.O.D. artist Pusha T and using a MPC live on stage to establish the beat for the song. He wore a red suit, black low-cut shirt, gold chains, and his red Louis Vuitton collaboration shoes, the Don’s. The red suit is similar to the one he wore at this past year’s BET Awards and the black low-cut shirt and gold chains were revealed last week during New York Fashion Week. If you watched Kanye close the VMAs, this might have been one of his best performances from an aesthetic standpoint. There was a complete juxtaposition with the elements used, the red outfit with an all-white background and the MPC with the ballerinas, but all were complementary of one another and made the performance that much more visually appealing.

• Kanye at the 2010 MTV VMAs

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will be on tonight at 9 PM EST (6 PM PST) and Kanye West is set to close the awards show with a song off of his still-untitled 5th album. Considering last year’s events where Kanye stormed the stage and interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, there will be much anticipation surrounding the performances of both artists. As the awards show goes on, expect an update on the Dress Like Kanye West blog for Kanye’s outfit at the 2010 VMAs.

• Kanye West Foundation S.H.O.W. T-shirt

A special t-shirt for the Kanye West Foundation S.H.O.W. (Students Helping Our World) is now available online at Kanye’s official website. The heather gray t-shirt features a hand holing a music note on the front, the Kanye West Foundation logo on the back, and concert details on the left sleeve. All proceeds go to the foundation and the t-shirt is extremely limited. In fact, as of right now, there are only sizes small and medium available. This charity t-shirt is an appropriate release, considering the fact that the Stay in School Benefit Concert will air tomorrow, Saturday, July 18, on Fuse TV. It’s safe to assume that most in the crowd will be rocking this very t-shirt.

• Kanye and Keri Hilson on Letterman

Kanye West and Keri Hilson were on the Late Show with David Letterman to perform Hilson’s hit single Knock You Down. Kanye kept his outfit toned down by sticking to his trademark Levi’s denim jacket that he has been religiously wearing in the past several months and a pair of brown RRL jeans.
