• Kanye Wears Air Jordan 1s at Summerfest

Kanye West is currently performing at Milwaukee’s Summerfest wearing an all-black outfit, gold Jesus piece necklaces, and black/red Air Jordan 1 shoes. Yeezy’s assistant art director Virgil Abloh posted this image of Kanye on a stage setup that resembles the backdrop from Coachella. We’ll continue to update this post as soon as additional photos are made available.

Update: Kanye changed into an all-red outfit which included his Louis Vuitton “Dons’s” collaboration sneakers.

• Kanye Wearing Vans x Ludwig Van Collaboration Sneaker

As we reported on Thursday, Kanye West’s assistant art director Virgil Abloh snapped a picture of Kanye wearing what appeared to be a pair of Vans shoes during a trip to the Cannes Film Festival. Based on the shoe’s silhouette, a white tab on the upper, and a black rectangular heel tab, we speculated that it could be either the Authentic or Era model. A reliable source who lives in Paris saw Kanye up close wearing the shoes, and confirmed that it was in fact the Vans Era as part of the exclusive Deadstock Project between Ludwig Van and Vans Vault. Created by Mike Dytri of Ludwig Van, the shoe came in 14 different canvas patterns and a total of 288 pairs were made available worldwide. Kanye’s pair is made up of the ’30s Nostalgia pattern and includes a predominantly black suede upper, white contrast stitching, the famous white Vans tab, and a black “Vault” heel tab. The collection released this past April and retailed for $85.

• Is Kanye West Rocking Vans?

For almost an entire week, Kanye West has been living it up overseas for the Cannes Film Festival, and his assistant art director Virgil Abloh has been documenting fragments of their trip on his Twitter and Tumblr. Earlier today, he posted photos in his signature grayscale style of Kanye wearing what appears to be Vans shoes—either the Authentic or Era model. The shoes he’s wearing have all the makings of the Authentic and Era silhouette along with other notable Vans features like the rectangular heel tab on the back of the shoe and the white Vans tab branding on the upper. Given the similarities that exist between traditional Vans silhouettes and other sneaker brands, it’s also a possibility that these can very well be from another company. What do you think? • Kanye’s Shoes: All-Star Weekend Wrap Up

If there is any confirmation that Kanye West is back to wearing sneakers over hard-bottoms, it is this past NBA All-Star weekend. Saturday was the debut for the music video for “All of the Lights,” where Kanye was seen wearing a pair of black/cement Air Jordan 3s. The short film “The Black Mamba” also premiered on that day, in which Kanye wore what could be a pair of the Air Yeezy 2 shoes. On Sunday, he made an appearance at the NBA All-Star game halftime show, performing “All of the Lights” with Rihanna. There, Kanye wore an all-red outfit and Jordan Infrared 6s. I might be jumping the gun by saying that Kanye is completely done with the Rosewood Movement, but he’s definitely looking like the Kanye from the Graduation era that blended European designer brands with Nike and Jordan sneakers.

• Air Jordan 3 Shoes in “All of the Lights” Music Video

Kanye West’s music video for “All of the Lights” premiered today. In the video, Kanye is seen wearing the black/cement Air Jordan 3s as he stands atop a police car. In other shots of the video, Kanye is also wearing a sleeveless top, a black jacket, and black sunglasses that resemble the frame of the Lanvin ‘Way Shiner’ sunglasses without the Swarovski crystals. Rihanna and Kid Cudi also make appearances in the music video, which was directed by Hype Williams.
