• Kanye West Wears Nike Air Mag Shoes

Kanye West was spotted wearing the Nike Air Mag shoes just before hitting the stage for the opening of the Austin City Limits festival last night. The Nike Air Mag is the light-up high top sneaker that Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II. The sneaker is not a general release and is currently available through eBay and live auctions at select Nike stores. All proceeds will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Considering that Nike Air Mag designer Tinker Hatfield stated that the shoes would not be given to VIPs or influencers, Kanye must have won a pair. With the Air Mag’s influence on Kanye’s own Air Yeezy shoes, it was only a matter of time until we saw ‘Ye rock a pair of Nike Air Mags.

• Kanye Wearing the Air Jordan Black/Metallic 5

The Air Jordan 5 in the black/metallic colorway releases tomorrow (and midnight EST online) for $150 at retail stores . After debuting in 1990, this will be the third retro of the black/metallic 5s. The Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe features the infamous 3M reflective tongue, mesh side panels, and an icey blue sole. In commemoration of tomorrow’s release, we take a look back at Kanye wearing the black/metallic Air Jordan 5 shoes.

• Jay-Z and Kanye’s Sneaker Ventures

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne dropped digitally on Monday. In honor of the album, watch for spins on WTT track titles as Nice Kicks examines notable moments in Jay-Z and Kanye’s footwear history. The list highlights shoe collaborations from the two, including Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 “All Black Everything,” the Kanye West for Louis Vuitton footwear collection, and the Reebok S. • Kanye West Wears Lanvin Shoes at the Big Chill

Kanye West wore Lanvin shoes when he performed last night at the Big Chill music festival in Herefordshire, England. The blue high-top Lanvin sneakers are the exact same pair that Yeezy wore during his performances at Coachella and MOMA’s Garden Party just a few months back. His outfit also included a white button-down shirt, several gold necklaces, and distressed Balmain jeans. • Kanye West Wearing Vans Authentic Shoes

Kanye West made an appearance at Big Sean’s Finally Famous album release concert in New York 2 weeks ago to perform the single “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” with his G.O.O.D Music protege. At the show, Kanye wore a custom Dallas Mavericks snapback hat, a vintage Guns N’ Roses t-shirt, slim jeans, and Vans Authentic shoes. Even though the photo is in black and white, it’s clear that the upper part of the Authentic canvas features a desaturated, worn-in color. One could guess that these are from this past Spring’s Vans California Washed Pack, a collection of Slip-Ons and Authentics with a vintage look. This is the second time we’ve seen Kanye rocking a pair of Vans. In May, Kanye was seen in the limited edition Vans x Ludwig Van Eras while in Paris.
