• Kanye Wearing Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Chaos”
3 CommentsBack in late 2008, Kanye West was videotaped playing basketball in Hawaii during the recording process of 808s and Heartbreak. Recently, Kanye was photographed taking a breather on the sidelines at a gym in Hawaii, wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 (V) “Chaos” shoes. In all the previous photos of Kanye in workout clothes, he’s always been seen wearing the Air Jordan Aqua 8s, so seeing him with the latest pair of Kobe 5 shoes is a very appropriate way to kick off the 2010 year. You can hardly see the intricacies and colors on the shoe, but check out the detailed photos below of the Kobe 5 (V) “Chaos” shoes from KENLU. The shoes released on December 26, 2009 and were available at most major shoe retailers for $129.99.

• Nike Alpholution “Carbon Fiber” Shoes
2 CommentsAs Kanye West records his upcoming album in Hawaii, it’s going to be inevitable for some of the locals to snap photos of Kanye as he spends some leisure time away from the studio to enjoy his surroundings. Here’s a recent photo of Kanye at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet wearing RRL khaki-colored jeans and the Nike Alpholution “Carbon Fiber” shoes. The colorway of the shoes draw inspiration from the Zoom Flight 95 and appropriately features carbon fabric around the heel. The “Carbon Fiber” was released in Augst 2009 and appear to be all sold out on the Kix-Files online store.

• The 25 Coolest Sneaker Designs of 2009
No CommentsWith the year coming to a close, it’s always good to reflect back on the significant moments that shook 2009. In the sneaker culture, Kanye West made history by releasing his Nike Air Yeezy and Louis Vuitton shoes, both of which are featured on BusinessWeek’s The 25 Coolest Sneaker Designs of 2009. The Nike Air Yeezy marked the first time Nike has ever worked with a non-athlete to design a sneaker. What’s more, its 3 colorway releases will be remembered for their astronomical resell value on Ebay and the multiple-day campouts from several sneaker heads all over the world. With the Louis Vuitton collaboration shoes, although not as hyped as the Air Yeezy, proved Kanye’s versatility in fashion. To work alongside one of the most iconic fashion labels the world has ever known reinforced Kanye’s global image as a fashion connoisseur. These two highly-anticipated shoe collaborations definitely exceeded all the expectations and are more than just merely sneakers, but a piece of fashion history.

• Kanye Wearing Jordan Aqua 8 Shoes
2 CommentsSince it’s become safe to assume that Kanye West loves the Air Jordan Aqua 8 shoes, the picture below should not be the least bit surprising. Here’s a recent candid photo of Kanye leaving the Pan Pacific Park gym, in Los Angeles, wearing none other than the Jordan Aqua 8s. For anybody that owns a pair, you know how comfortable the shoes are and how its silhouette is so unique compared to many of the basketball shoes today. For a pair that performs well on the court, they also aren’t bad with a pair of jeans, as Kanye has proven in the past.

October 14th, 2009• Kanye Wearing Maison Martin Margiela Shoes
5 CommentsKanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose were spotted last week in the SoHo area in New York before going to the music video shoot for Jay-Z’s We Run This Town. In the photo, Kanye wears a very simple outfit that consists of black Super sunglasses, a black t-shirt, and jeans. However, it was the gray high-top Maison Martin Margiela shoes with velcro straps that made the entire outfit work for Kanye. The exact shoes are seen below and can be purchased at the Barneys New York online store.

• Make Her Say Music Video Outfit
14 CommentsThe music video for Kid Cudi’s Make Her Say, featuring Kanye West and Common, was released yesterday after much anticipation from many fans. The video was directed by Nez Khammal and features a horizontal split screen for more of an abstract illusion. Although the music video is actually pretty simple, the presence of these 3 artists and the overall message in the song is essentially what makes the video. Kanye’s shot took place in Los Angeles and wore the black flat-top Super sunglasses from RETROSUPERFUTURE, a green Army-like jacket, khaki pants (or khaki-colored denim), and wheat-colored 6″ Timberland boots.
