• Virgil Abloh Talks Fashion With Chicago Magazine

Kanye West’s assistant art director and fashion advisor Virgil Abloh was recently interviewed by Chicago Magazine to discuss his role in ‘Ye’s camp and reveal his fashion inspirations for the upcoming fall season. Providing direction on everything from the stage design on Kanye’s live performances to the aesthetic of sneaker collaborations and art direction of albums, Abloh is a critical member of Kanye’s creative team. • Kanye West’s VMan Issue 21 Cover Available Today

VMan’s latest issue where Karl Lagerfield photographed Kanye West for the cover, is available today. The cover features Kanye wearing a black suit jacket and black Wayfarer-style sunglasses with money in his mouth. One in 10 covers will feature an actual dollar bill, while the others will simply reveal a hundred dollar bill that is part of the actual photograph for the cover. There are three ways to obtain a copy today:

1. Purchase online on VMan (U.S. – $15,  International – $30)

2. Select newsstands

3. Visit the VMan assembly line to have your magazine prepared for you in person

• Kanye on the Cover of VMAN Magazine

Kanye West covers VMan magazine’s “The Thrill of the Game Issue” where fashion designer and creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld shot the photograph of Kanye. On the cover, Kanye is wearing black wayfarer-style sunglasses and what appears to be a black suit. Always raising the bar and adding his own twist of creativity to every product he delivers, it seems as if several issues will be featuring actual $1 bills placed inside Kanye’s mouth. It isn’t known if all issues will come like this, but the magazine is slated to drop newsstands on February 10. Read more to view the video of the $1 bills being placed inside Kanye’s mouth.

• Kanye West on the Cover of Complex

Not only did Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy come out in stores today, but Complex magazine revealed that that the ‘Runaway’ artist will also cover their December/January 2011 issue. The story highlights the making of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, as Complex’s editor-in-chief, Noah Callahan-Bever, was invited to the studio sessions in Hawaii to take a glimpse at the labor of love Kanye put into creating his fifth solo album. Before the issue hits shelves on December 7, read the cover story online and Complex’s exclusive behind-the-scenes gallery filled with 40 photos of what went down in the studio.

• Kanye Covers i-D Magazine with Gold Chains

As part of The Back to the Future Winter 2010 issue from i-D’s 30th anniversary trilogy, Kanye West covers the magazine with several gold chains over his right eye. The gold chains are most likely the same group of jewelry he wore during the performance of “Runaway” at the 2010 MTV VMAs with his infamous red suit. With i-D’s “Impress” cover title positioned over one of Kanye’s chains, it’s difficult to make out the symbol on that particular piece, but it appears to be that of Egyptian imagery. The art direction of the issue was lead by Fabien Montique and Rushka Bergman and is available for purchase on the i-D online store and select i-D retailers.
