No CommentsMichael Jackson’s influence on Kanye West’s style and music is undeniable, so it’s only fitting that Kanye chose to dress up as the King of Pop this Halloween. Kanye channeled a Thriller era M.J., wearing a red/yellow varsity jacket similar to the one from the “Thriller” music video and Jackson’s signature hat.

3 CommentsEarlier this week, Kanye West made a surprise appearance at the Young Jeezy show in New York to perform their 2008 record “Put On.” Captured by photographer Michael Knapp, Yeezy was spotted rocking a Dallas Mavericks Just DON snapback hat and Air Jordan 6 sneakers. These two items have essentially become part of Kanye’s go-to fashion pieces in the past few months and should be expected to be seen onstage during the upcoming Watch the Throne tour.
• Kanye Wears American Apparel Hoody and Air Jordan 3 Shoes
1 CommentLess than a month before the release of Kanye West and Jay-z’s Watch the Throne album releases on August 2, the public has received the first single H.A.M., detailed notes from an invite-only listening session, and now photos from recording sessions. In one of the photographs, Kanye is spotted wearing an American Apparel hoody in the salt and pepper colorway and cement gray Air Jordan 3 shoes. In other shots taken throughout the duo’s recording sessions, Yeezy’s also wearing a black v-neck t-shirt, a white long-sleeve shirt, a blazer, and black waxed denim. • Kanye West’s Coachella Outfit Illustrated by Mr. Burt
1 CommentIllustrator Mr. Burt teamed up with High Snobiety to create two exclusive prints of Kanye West and his outfit from Coachella. The illustration consists of two parts: the first, a photo of Kanye in the outfit he wore onstage during Acts 1 and 2; the second, the outfit itself — a women’s silk blouse from Celine’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, a pair of Balmain denim jeans, a Cartier bracelet, and Lanvin sneakers. Mr. Burt is well-versed in depicting fashion icons. His portfolio also includes a series of prints called “The Fashion Crowd,” which illustrates other notables in the fashion industry, including Chanel Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld, former Dior head designer John Galliano, and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour.
• Kanye Spotted in a Black Tuxedo at the amfAR Gala in Cannes
No CommentsKanye West continued his stay in Cannes today by attending the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala as part of the Cannes Film Festival. At the 17th annual charity event, Kanye was spotted wearing a one-button tuxedo with a black bow tie and the same multi-colored Burkman Bros bracelets that he wore during Coachella. Since his arrival in Paris last weekend, Kanye’s outfits have all included suits and tuxedos—reminiscent of his everyday choice of attire during his Rosewood Movement late last year. At this rate, it looks like that’s going to be Kanye’s go-to outfit at least until the film festival comes to an end this weekend. Satin lapels and hard-bottomed shoes have their time and place, but I think fans would much rather see Kanye stunt in Balmain jeans and Air Yeezy 2 sneakers.
