• Spike Jonze Short Film
3 CommentsBack in January, we posted a picture of Kanye West and Nick Tershay on the set of a short film directed by Spike Jonze. Well now, the much-anticipated short film will be released on September 8th for all to purchase via Itunes. Originally, the short film was going to be the official music video for Kanye’s See You In My Nightmares, but apparently that has now changed. If you’re familiar with Jonze’s work, this should turn out remarkable. Add that to the fact that Kanye is extremely great with presentation and delivering a product (see his music videos and live performances), I’m certain this will not disappoint.

• Louis Vuitton Don’s from Franalations
6 CommentsSneaker connoisseur Franalations is known for his impressive sneaker collection and the reviews that he conducts on YouTube of his purchases. He’s created a very impressive internet following and if you’re not familiar with the name, I suggest you do a search on him because his collection is something serious. His latest video review is on the collaboration sneaker between Kanye West and Louis Vuitton, red size 9 Don’s, to be exact. Not only does the video reveal the sneaker’s high-quality construction, but also its great packaging. Each sneaker comes with its own canvas bag, 2 booklets (1 explaining the quality of the sneaker and 1 explaining the collaboration between Kanye and LV), and a little box that houses an extra pair of red laces. With Louis Vuitton, you get nothing short of perfection. Personally, I don’t think I’d spend $800+ on a pair of sneakers, LV or not, but Franalations does an effective job justifying the price and showing the sneaker’s top-quality.

• Internship At Gap
7 CommentsUS Weekly has revealed that Kanye West has been secretly interning at Gap’s corporate offices in New York. Although no official word has been made from the man himself, the story is not entirely far-fetched since Kanye previously mentioned that he wanted to temporarily quit rap to pursue a fashion internship. A source told US Weekly:
He works all the time, and one Friday night recently, he stayed until 12 am. He’s learning the fashion business from the inside and trying to do it quietly.

Rumors or not, Gap surely benefits from such news. And if this is true, it’s very refreshing to see a celebrity putting in the proper work to master the craft of fashion, versus just releasing a mediocre product that will sell based on the name behind it (which is what ends up happening to most fashion lines from celebrities).
