• Happy 34th Birthday, Kanye West!

Our favorite rapper and style icon, Kanye West, celebrates his 34th birthday today. After starting 33 strong with his “Power” single and an untitled fifth solo album in progress, Kanye seemed back in the game, focused and determined as ever. The past year alone, Yeezy gave us 14 free songs via G.O.O.D Friday, a short film in “Runaway,” a new fashion statement with the Rosewood Movement, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, all-red everything, an epic Coachella performance, and a preview of the Air Yeezy 2. Here’s to a 34 that we hope is filled with pushing the fashion envelope and creating good music. To the man who inspires me, this blog, and many others—happy birthday, Mr. West.

Today, June 8, 2010, Kanye West turns 33. It was only at 24 that the up-and-coming producer laid his magic on Jay-Z’s hit-single “Izzo (H.O.V.A.).” Fast-forward nine years later and he’s given us four groundbreaking albums, countless memories at award shows, a taste of his eclectic sense of fashion, and collaborations with some of the top designers and brands in the world, including a sneaker with both Nike and Louis Vuitton. Happy Birthday, Mr. West.

• Kanye West Spotted in SoHo New York

After months of being away from the public eye, Kanye West was seen yesterday in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan in New York. Photographed by lifestyle blogger and tastemaker, William Yan, Kanye’s outfit consisted of a cream pocket t-shirt, a red hoodie, and dark vintage-washed jeans. Nothing of shock value, but definitely a classic outfit that is comparable to his style from the Graduation days of 2007/2008.

• Dress Like Kanye West Update

To all the dedicated readers of Dress Like Kanye West,

As many of you have noticed, there has been a severe lack of updates in the past two months. During that period, I have been going back and forth on the direction that I would like to take this website. Believe it or not, when you’re running a website that is centered around a single individual, in this case, Kanye West, it can be quite a difficult task to generate new content when that individual is nowhere to be seen in the headlines.

After much thought, I will continue to operate this website as an avenue for all your Kanye fashion information. I’ve gained too many loyal readers for me to simply walk away.  Blog posts may be limited, but I will try my best to present the best possible content.

In the coming months, there will be major additions to the website to ensure content is fresh and relevant.
