• Kanye West Dresses Up as Michael Jackson for Halloween
No CommentsMichael Jackson’s influence on Kanye West’s style and music is undeniable, so it’s only fitting that Kanye chose to dress up as the King of Pop this Halloween. Kanye channeled a Thriller era M.J., wearing a red/yellow varsity jacket similar to the one from the “Thriller” music video and Jackson’s signature hat.

October 31st, 2011• New Black/Pink Air Yeezy 2 Colorway Confirmed
5 CommentsVirgil Abloh tweeted that Kanye was wearing a new colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 shoes last night in Atlanta. From our original post, it was difficult to determine exactly what that new colorway was. We guessed black/pink, and from new photos that have surfaced from the opening of last night’s Watch the Throne tour, the colorway is in fact a black/pink Air Yeezy 2. This exact colorway from the first Air Yeezy was arguably the most popular colorway in the trifecta. The question that remains is whether this colorway will be made available to the public, or if it will never be released, similar to the black/red Air Yeezys that Kanye wore throughout the entire Glow in the Dark tour in 2008.
• Kanye Wears Givenchy T-Shirt and Jacket at WTT Concert
2 CommentsAs we reported last night, Kanye West wore a pair of black/pink Nike Air Yeezy 2s to kick off the Watch the Throne tour in Atlanta. ‘Ye was also spotted on stage wearing leather pants and a custom Givenchy t-shirt and jacket. The black Givenchy t-shirt designed by Riccardo Tisci was made specifically for the duo’s tour and features artwork from the Watch the Throne album and Tisci’s signature Givenchy studded stars along the collar. The jacket that Kanye wore featured a rottweiler print and a chain-link design, which is very similar to a women’s Givenchy jacket that features a panther print.

4 CommentsKanye West’s assistant art director Virgil Abloh tweeted, “And some new Yeezy’s colorways are out in the #wild,” making a reference to Kanye wearing a new colorway of the Air Yeezy 2 shoes at the Watch the Throne concert in Atlanta tonight. It’s hard to make out what the new colorway is from the concert photos below, but the shoe definitely looks like the Air Yeezy 2. Could it be a black/pink colorway? Stay tuned for additional photos as the show goes on.

3 CommentsKanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne tour is set to kick off tonight at Phillips Arena in Atlanta. Concertgoers will not only have a first look at the stage design of the duo’s highly anticipated tour, but also get a look at concert merchandise. If you recall, Coachella attendees got first dibs at My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy t-shirts at the 3-day music festival. Tonight, ATL fans of The Throne will be the first ones to get their hands on Watch the Throne concert merchandise. One concertgoer tweeted these photos of a t-shirt with Riccardo Tisci’s U.S. flag artwork on the front and tour dates on the back of the shirt. We’ll keep you updated with additional photos of Watch the Throne merchandise.
