• Kanye West Paris Fashion Show Invitation
1 CommentKanye West was spotted front row at several shows for London Fashion Week a couple days ago in support of some of his favorite designers, but tomorrow marks his own line’s debut at Paris Fashion Week. The official show invitations for Kanye West’s womenswear collection were sent out and gave details for the much anticipated line. The collection, a collaboration with British designer Louise Goldin and Riccardo Tisci from Givenchy, will make its premiere on October 1 at 9:30 PM and is titled “Dw Kanye West.” The collection bears the same initials as his late mother Donda West. 4 CommentsKanye West made another appearance at London Fashion Week. This time, he was seen sitting in the front row at Katie Eary’s show wearing a pair of Air Jordan 6 shoes. Eary, who had her models walk down the runway to songs like “Hell of a Life” and “N****** in Paris,” collaborated with Kanye on his upcoming womenswear line. After her show, Eary said that she would be working with Kanye to hammer out the rest of the collection and that she was impressed by his dedication and commitment to fashion. The collection is expected to launch at Paris Fashion Week.
• Kanye in Air Jordan 1s at Christopher Kane Fashion Show
2 CommentsKanye West is currently overseas for London Fashion Week and was spotted at Christopher Kane’s spring/summer 2012 fashion show wearing black/red Air Jordan 1 sneakers. Sitting front row with his assistant art director Virgil Abloh, Yeezy kept his outfit simple with gold chains tucked underneath his plain white t-shirt and distressed jeans. After Kanye was nowhere to be found during last week’s New York Fashion Week, we should expect to see more of him with Milan and Paris holding their fashion week festivities following London Fashion Week. Kanye West will debut his womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week on October 1.
• Kanye West Wears Nike Air Mag Shoes
2 CommentsKanye West was spotted wearing the Nike Air Mag shoes just before hitting the stage for the opening of the Austin City Limits festival last night. The Nike Air Mag is the light-up high top sneaker that Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II. The sneaker is not a general release and is currently available through eBay and live auctions at select Nike stores. All proceeds will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Considering that Nike Air Mag designer Tinker Hatfield stated that the shoes would not be given to VIPs or influencers, Kanye must have won a pair. With the Air Mag’s influence on Kanye’s own Air Yeezy shoes, it was only a matter of time until we saw ‘Ye rock a pair of Nike Air Mags.
• Kanye to Show Womenswear Collection at Paris Fashion Week
No CommentsKanye West is officially set to present his upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week on October 1. His show will immediately follow Jean Paul Gaultier. Specific details of his line, such as the name and design direction, are still under speculation. Though it will be his first time showing at Fashion Week, this is not Kanye’s first foray into fashion. In 2009, he teamed up with Louis Vuitton and Nike to create his very own shoe, and prior to that, he founded the now-defunct Pastelle clothing line in 2008.
