• Kanye Wears Air Jordan 6 and Mavs Just DON Snapback
3 CommentsEarlier this week, Kanye West made a surprise appearance at the Young Jeezy show in New York to perform their 2008 record “Put On.” Captured by photographer Michael Knapp, Yeezy was spotted rocking a Dallas Mavericks Just DON snapback hat and Air Jordan 6 sneakers. These two items have essentially become part of Kanye’s go-to fashion pieces in the past few months and should be expected to be seen onstage during the upcoming Watch the Throne tour.

No CommentsThe dates for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne tour were recently announced. Could the Air Yeezy 2 be making an appearance at the 24 scheduled concerts? You may remember that in 2008, Kanye rocked some sample Air Yeezys onstage during the entire ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour, and the shoe was released in stores a year later. Rumors have been circulating that the Air Yeezy 2 shoes will drop on Black Friday in November, giving sneakerheads a little over a month to deliberate over the look of the shoe if in fact ‘Ye wears them on stage. The Watch the Throne tour kicks off in Detroit on September 27.

• Air Yeezy 2 in Watch The Throne Documentary
No CommentsThe Air Yeezy 2 made a brief appearance in the Jay-Z and Kanye West documentary for Watch The Throne. In the mini-documentary, Kanye is seen working on a template of what looks like the Air Yeezy 2 on Adobe Photoshop. On the screen, you can clearly see the strap of the shoe and the pink lining. There’s been rumors that the Air Yeezy 2 releaste date is set for Black Friday in the U.S. as well as speculations that the shoe will be available in a total of five colorways — three to be released in the U.S., one for the Europe release, and one for the Asia release. Watch The Throne is set to drop digitally on August 8 and in stores on August 15.

• Kanye West to Launch Women’s Fashion Line
1 CommentAfter a week of speculation that Kanye West is launching a womenswear label, the rumor was finally confirmed. Louise Wilson, a faculty member at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, revealed that Kanye is indeed working on a women’s line with London-based designer and CSM graduate Louise Goldin. The line is expected to make its runway premiere at the upcoming New York Fashion Week. After discontinuing his now-defunct Pastelle clothing line in 2009, this is Kanye’s second foray into launching a complete fashion line.
