Is Kanye West Rocking Vans?

For almost an entire week, Kanye West has been living it up overseas for the Cannes Film Festival, and his assistant art director Virgil Abloh has been documenting fragments of their trip on his Twitter and Tumblr. Earlier today, he posted photos in his signature grayscale style of Kanye wearing what appears to be Vans shoes—either the Authentic or Era model. The shoes he’s wearing have all the makings of the Authentic and Era silhouette along with other notable Vans features like the rectangular heel tab on the back of the shoe and the white Vans tab branding on the upper. Given the similarities that exist between traditional Vans silhouettes and other sneaker brands, it’s also a possibility that these can very well be from another company. What do you think?     Tristan: Thanks for the comment. I was leaning towards Tisa (especially since Taz and Kanye are in the same camp), but after looking at the shoes Tisa has come out with, the sole and upper do not match the shoe in the photo.

    M.E: I ruled out Vans mids because those don’t have the white tab “Vans” branding on the upper. If you look closely at the first pic, you’ll notice that a white tab. near the laces, which is present on Eras and Authentics. Hopefully we’ll find out soon though.
