LRG hung out backstage with Kanye West at Coachella, and got an up and close look at his new Air Yeezy 2 sneakers. Backstage, Kanye wore two gold chains (most likely his coveted Jesus pieces) over a black tank top, red pants, and the Air Yeezy 2s. Kanye was featured in several LRG ad campaigns dating all the way back to The College Dropout days, so it comes as no surprise that Ye would show the southern California-based brand love when he’s out in their hometown.

• Kanye Wears Fur Coat Vest on American Idol

Kanye West and Katy Perry’s pre-taped performance of “E.T.” aired on last night’s “American Idol.” On the show, he wore a fur coat that featured leather sleeves, resembling the Phillip Lim ‘Journey’ coat that he wore at last year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The difference with this coat is that it falls to his waistline and features a fur-back, while the ‘Journey’ coat reaches Kanye’s knees and only contains fur on the front. Since the performance was taped before Coachella, there was no sighting of an Air Yeezy 2 if that is what you were hoping to find when you discovered that he was going to be on the idol show.
