• Kanye Wearing Balmain and Air Jordan 3 in ‘E.T.’ Music Video
1 Comment

Katy Perry’s music video for her latest single ‘E.T.’ premiered today, and Kanye West was seen wearing Balmain stretch denim biker jeans and Air Jordan 3 cement gray shoes. Kanye is no stranger to Balmain jeans, as he’s been wearing similar offerings from the Parisian luxury brand at many events including New York Fashion Week and the NBA All-Star game. The Air Jordan 3 cement gray retro shoes were released this past January, but with no clear view of the back of the sneaker in the video, it’s hard to tell if these are OGs with the Nike swoosh or retros with the Jumpman logo. This is the second consecutive music video where Kanye’s worn the Air Jordan 3. A little over a month ago he wore the black cement Air Jordan 3 sneakers in the ‘All of the Lights’ music video.

• Kanye West Scarves by M/M (Paris)

Kanye West has teamed up with French design firm M/M (Paris) to create a collection of silk scarves inspired by the artwork from his last album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. This is a fitting collaboration considering the fact that M/M designers Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag designed the album’s linear notes with a gold illustrative letterset. The scarves measure in at almost a square meter and will be sold in a series of 250 scarves — 50 for each of the 5 different My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy covers. They will be available in the coming weeks at Colette and MMParis.com.

• Buy the Actual Pain ‘Pyramid’ Snapback Hat
1 Comment

Back when Kanye West was spotted at the Jeremy Scott fashion show, where he found himself in a Keri Hilson and Vanessa Hudgens sandwich, he was seen wearing the  ’Pyramid’ snapback hat from Actual Pain. Those who tried seeking out the hat after discovering the brand soon found out that it had been released last year and was already sold out. Recently, both Actual Pain and Mishka have just re-stocked on these hats, offering two different colorways – wine red/black and the exact  colorway Kanye was wearing, cream/black. For under $30 it’s good purchase if you’re trying to Dress Like Kanye West, and who knows, maybe it’ll get you closer to Keri Hilson and Vanessa Hudgens, too.

• Kanye West and G.O.O.D Music at SXSW
4 Comments

Kanye West made an appearance at this weekend’s South by Southwest Music Festival on early Sunday morning in Austin. Also taking the stage with him were fellow G.O.O.D Music artists Big Sean, Pusha T, Mr. Hudson, Kid Cudi, Mos Def, Cyhi da Prynce and John Legend. During his set, Kanye changed outfits twice. He entered the stage wearing an all-black outfit as opened with “Dark Fantasy.” Mid-set, Kanye changed to an all-red outfit for performances of “Say You Will,” “Runaway,” and “All of the Lights,” the last of which he brought out a full marching band. For the last part of his set, which included Jay-Z and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Kanye changed back to an all-black outfit and wore a pair of Jordan 6 Infrared shoes.

• Turn Back Thursday: Kanye Wearing BBC Hat
3 Comments

This month’s Turn Back Thursday takes us back to 2008, during Kanye West’s Graduation era. In this photo, Kanye wears a hat by Billionaire Boys Club, a BAPE plaid flannel shirt, and a pair of Gucci Shaman moccasins. The more I see Kanye’s latest outfits, the more I believe he is done with the Rosewood Movement and is back to this Kanye. The Kanye that would mix high-end brands with streetwear brands. And the Kanye that would wear Air Jordan and Nike shoes with almost every outfit. Which Kanye West do you think we’ll continue to see in 2011?
