• Kanye West Collaboration T-shirts with Karmaloop
1 CommentKanye West and streetwear store Karmaloop have collaborated to create four t-shirt designs that are now available for purchase on the Karmaloop online store. All of the t-shirts retail for $28 and feature a photo-like screenprint graphic of Kanye on the front of the garment. Two of the graphics appear to be from the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” music video shoot, one is from a photoshoot with Complex magazine where Kanye is wearing a blue Billionaire Boys Club fitted hat, and the fourth graphic is a close-up of Kanye’s face along with his signature. • Turn Back Thursday: Kanye Wearing ‘UniverseCity’ Varsity Jacket
1 CommentFor the last Turn Back Thursday of 2010, we take you back to the summer of 2008, just months before the release of 808s & Heartbreak, where Kanye West made a guest appearance at a Young Jeezy concert. At the show, Kanye wore the ‘UniverseCity’ varsity jacket, appropriately named after his website at the time, Kanye UniverseCity. It was never determined if it was a collaboration jacket with an existing brand or a piece from his now-defunct clothing line Pastelle, but it was most likely a 1-of-1 custom made varsity jacket just for Kanye. The ‘UniverseCity’ varsity jacket features a purple body, white satin sleeves, a green ‘U’ on the left-side chest, and a Takashi Murakami ‘Dropout Bear’ graphic on the back. In addition to the varsity jacket, Kanye is also spotted wearing Air Jordan Aqua 8s with a pair of khaki pants and purple Louis Vuitton ‘Millionaire’ sunglasses. • Kanye’s Junior Stylist to Assist With Stubbs & Wootton Collaboration
No CommentsIt has been confirmed that Kanye West’s junior stylist, Cassius Clay, will assist Kanye in his collaboration project with footwear company Stubbs & Wootton. New York Magazine recently ran a story called “Kanye’s Cabinet,” highlighting the nine individuals in his entourage that he “can’t live without” and Clay was listed as a vital member in the “Runaway” rapper’s crew. Cassius Clay made an impression on the rapper when they first met and was eventually offered a role to become Kanye’s junior stylist at only 19 years old, while still a student at Yale. There has been no release date for Kanye’s Stubbs & Wootton collaboration, but the collection will include the footwear company’s signature embroidered loafers.
