• Kanye Wearing Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Chaos”

Back in late 2008, Kanye West was videotaped playing basketball in Hawaii during the recording process of 808s and Heartbreak. Recently, Kanye was photographed taking a breather on the sidelines at a gym in Hawaii, wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 (V) “Chaos” shoes. In all the previous photos of Kanye in workout clothes, he’s always been seen wearing the Air Jordan Aqua 8s, so seeing him with the latest pair of Kobe 5 shoes is a very appropriate way to kick off the 2010 year. You can hardly see the intricacies and colors on the shoe, but check out the detailed photos below of the Kobe 5 (V) “Chaos” shoes from KENLU. The shoes released on December 26, 2009 and were available at most major shoe retailers for $129.99.

• Turn Back Thursday: Kanye Wearing Kiser x A-Trak T-shirt

The first Thursday of the month brings another edition of Turn Back Thursday. Check out this 2006 photo of Kanye West wearing the Kiser x A-Trak collaboration “Sunglasses is a Must” t-shirt. Sure, it may be 2010 where it seems like every brand and individual is going for a more timeless and classic aesthetic, but I’m sure many of the Kanye fans and fashion fanatics know that, in 2006, it was all about all-over print t-shirts and bandanas.

• Nike Alpholution “Carbon Fiber” Shoes

As Kanye West records his upcoming album in Hawaii, it’s going to be inevitable for some of the locals to snap photos of Kanye as he spends some leisure time away from the studio to enjoy his surroundings. Here’s a recent photo of Kanye at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet wearing RRL khaki-colored jeans and the Nike Alpholution “Carbon Fiber” shoes. The colorway of the shoes draw inspiration from the Zoom Flight 95 and appropriately features carbon fabric around the heel. The “Carbon Fiber” was released in Augst 2009 and appear to be all sold out on the Kix-Files online store.

• Kanye Wearing Paint Splattered Jean Vest

Kanye West is currently in Hawaii with several G.O.O.D. Music artists to record his upcoming album. Just like with 808s & Heartbreak, Hawaii was also the destination where a majority of the recording and production took place, so one can only expect great music from Kanye’s 5th album. Here is a photo that GLC posted on his blog of Kanye wearing a paint-splattered jean vest on New Year’s Eve. Kanye is no stranger when it comes to denim tops, as he went through a period of constantly wearing jean jackets in ‘09 (”Knock You Down” and “Amazing” music videos). There are no distinguishable logos or embellishments that would suggest one particular brand for this specific item, but considering it is Kanye, it would definitely be a high-end designer vest.
