• Kanye Wearing Balmain Jeans and Air Yeezys

Not only has it been quite a while since Kanye West has been in the spotlight, but it’s also been several months since he’s been seen wearing his collaboration shoes with Nike, the Air Yeezy. In previous months, many of the shoes Kanye’s been wearing had subtle silhouettes and colorways, all from high-end designer brands. To see him wearing the Air Yeezys this past week, and the first ones at that, is very appropriate considering all the recognition the shoe is receiving as being one of the top sneakers of 2009. In addition to the Air Yeezy shoes, Kanye’s also wearing black Balmain jeans.

For anyone that was able to purchase the black Jesus piece from Good Wood on Black Friday, consider yourself extremely fortunate. In your possession is an accessory made famous by Kanye West that will never be released again by Good Wood. For those that missed out on the one-time release and are still interested in owning this wooden accessory, be prepared to pay a significant amount to resellers. The retail price was $65, but due to Kanye’s brand influence and Good Wood’s limited run of pieces, a recent Ebay auction for the black Good Wood Jesus piece ended at $285.

Continuing with the topic of Kanye West being featured in Bape’s Spring 2010 catalog is the lookbook that was shot to showcase the season’s offerings. Based on the clothes Kanye’s wearing, it appears as though Bape has an array of styles to offer for that specific season. • Kanye in Bape Spring 2010 Catalog

If Kanye West isn’t participating in lookbook shots for his own collaboration projects or his now-defunct Pastelle line, there’s a good chance you’ll catch him doing photshoots for Nigo’s A Bathing Ape clothing line, also known as Bape. Having been featured in several Bape catalogs for previous seasons, it was only fitting for Nigo and company to get Kanye on board for their Spring 2010 campaign. Kanye can be seen wearing several Bape items including a short-sleeve button down shirt, a military canvas jacket, an URSUS Bape t-shirt, and even an all-over print hoodie.

• Kanye at Bape LA Store December 20, 2009

With the release of the second Kid Cudi x Milo t-shirt today, December 20th, at the Bape Los Angeles store on Melrose, Kid Cudi will make an appearance at the store this afternoon to sign autographs and meet with customers and fans. I also got word from sneaker head Franalations that Kanye West may also make an appearance with Cudi at the event. I called the Bape LA store immediately after I heard the news and a sales associate was unable to confirm Kanye’s presence, but also did not dispel the speculations. For anyone in the Los Angeles area who is thinking of going, I suggest you call the Bape LA store to see if there are any updates on a possible Kanye appearance, but Cudi’s appearance alone should be well worth it.
