9 CommentsKanye West was recently spotted at the “Takashi Murakami Paints Self-Portraits” Exhibition in Paris by Kanye Live forum member YvesSaintLaurentDior, and was lucky enough to score a photo with the Louis Vuitton Don himself. Kanye’s all black outfit consisted of such items as a pea coat jacket and the black Louis Vuitton Jasper’s shoes.

• Air Yeezy Doernbecher Charity Auction
3 CommentsIn the past few weeks, Chi Mcbride and Mark Smith have revealed exclusive Nike Air Yeezy shoes as part of the Doernbecher Charity Auction. The first preview revealed was for the size 12 Air Yeezy Grammys that Kanye West wore at the 2008 Grammy Awards. The second preview they revealed was an Air Yeezy sample with a Jordan 6 sole. Both pairs are 1 of 1 samples and will surely become a great addition to any sneakerhead’s shoe collection. The auction has already gone live on Ebay for both shoes and will end 1 week from today, Saturday, September 19, at 7:30 PM PST. Support this great cause and obtain these rare Yeezy shoes while you’re at it.

• Turn Back Thursday: Kanye Wearing Supreme
7 CommentsHere’s a photo of Kanye West from 2003, during his “Backpacker” rap days, wearing a brown Supreme fleece-hoody. As artists gain an immense amount of star power, they’re usually aligned with a stylist who introduces them to fashion brands that are “trendy” and “hip”. We’ve all seen brand loyalists jump ship because a certain celebrity was seen wearing their favorite “underground” brand, making that specific brand officially mainstream. With this 2003 photo, it proves Kanye was familiar with the New York-based skate brand prior to becoming the huge artist he is today.

The outfit of the Kanye Simpsons character resembles the suit that he wore at the 2008 MTV VMAs when he performed Love Lockdown. The suit can also be spotted on the poster from the special edition 808s & Heartbreak vinyl release designed by Kaws. In addition to Kanye, Eminem, Andre 3000, Lil’ Wayne, and many other notable Hip-Hop icons were transformed into Simpsons characters.

• We Were Once a Fairytale Short Film Reminder
No CommentsJust a quick reminder that Spike Jonze’s short film We Were Once a Fairytale featuring Kanye West, will be available for purchase on iTunes today, Tuesday, September 8. The short film, which was once believed to be the music video for Kanye’s song Nightmare, first previewed at the Los Angeles Film Festival last June, and has been highly-anticipated by Kanye and Jonze fans alike.
