• Kanye Wearing Maison Martin Margiela Shoes
5 CommentsKanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose were spotted last week in the SoHo area in New York before going to the music video shoot for Jay-Z’s We Run This Town. In the photo, Kanye wears a very simple outfit that consists of black Super sunglasses, a black t-shirt, and jeans. However, it was the gray high-top Maison Martin Margiela shoes with velcro straps that made the entire outfit work for Kanye. The exact shoes are seen below and can be purchased at the Barneys New York online store.

• Sole Collector Air Yeezy Covers
5 CommentsThe latest cover of Sole Collector, Issue 29, will feature 2 different designs– one will have the original black Nike Air Yeezy atop a wooden box with laser designs and the other will be a high-quality, detailed shot of the pink Air Yeezy lacelock. This is the same exact Air Yeezy sneaker that Kanye West wore at the 2008 Grammy Awards, as he paid tribute to his late mother, Donda West. The sneaker will be up for grabs as part of the Doernbecher Charity Auction where one lucky bidder will be able to take the original, 1 of 1 pair home. Correct me if I’m wrong, I do remember him wearing these sneakers at the Grammys, however, I do not recall them having lacelocks. But I digress, it’s a great sneaker and I only wish the 3 Air Yeezys that came out several months ago had this type of leather material.

• Grammy Air Yeezys
7 CommentsActor Chi Mcbride had a chance to sit down with the Creative Director of Jordan Brand, Mark Smith, to give details about the charity work between Nike and the the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital known as the Doernbecher Charity. To raise funds for the charity, Nike will auction off exclusive items, in which one of the items includes a Nike Air Yeezy sneaker. But not just any Air Yeezy, the original Air Yeezy. In the video, Chi Mcbride shows off the all black sample Nike Air Yeezy that Kanye wore at the 2008 Grammy Awards. The same exact pair that had blogs and everyone in the sneaker culture buzzing for months. If you ask me, the idea is great and is a win-win for both parties– the auction winner and the charity organization.

• Turn Back Thursday: Kanye Wearing HomeRoom Hoodie
2 CommentsRemember when all-over print hoodies were all the rage in 2006-2007? I can’t necessarily say that Bape was the creator of the all-over print hoodie, but they definitely put it on the map in a huge way. Many brands caught on with the aesthetic and soon the all-over print was all over. It could be spotted on many fashion-forward individuals and was made readily available at most local boutiques. Here’s Kanye West back in 2007 rocking a custom hoodie from HomeRoom that was limited to 30 pieces.

No CommentsCheck out this Kanye-themed collage created by Just JR titled Just Do It Kanye Style. It does an effective job of putting together imagery that represents High-end fashion, Louis Vuitton, Takashi Murakami, New York, Japan, and of course, Kanye West.
