• Kanye in the Ego Music Video
1 Comment

When it comes to music videos and presentation, Kanye West is always on point. Whether it be the storyline, effects, or his outfit in the video, he never seizes to amaze viewers. The music video for Beyonce’s current single “Ego” features Kanye in a suit that complements the entire black/white theme of the video, while wearing a pair of the Mr. Hudson shoes that he designed with Louis Vuitton. Kanye’s also wearing the black flat-top Super sunglasses by RETROSUPERFUTURE, which has been his prime choice for sunglasses several months now. Overall, it’s a nice, clean outfit that could be worn at work or even in the club. Here are screen shots from the video:

• Louis Vuitton Sneaker Product Shots
3 Comments

Highsnobiety recently teamed up with German photographer Daniela Muller-Brunke to take high-quality product shots of the collaboration sneaker between Kanye West and Louis Vuitton. The colorways and unique silhouettes of the sneaker speak for itself, but the artistic direction from Highsnobiety and Daniela really complement the overall sneaker. Notice the enlarged LV symbols with the fluorescent backdrop. Whether you are a Kanye fan, LV fanatic, or self-proclaimed sneakerhead, this collaboration sneaker takes art, sneakers, fashion, and the entire essence of “collaborations” to an entirely new level.

• Jim Jones Disses Kanye and the Air Yeezy
15 Comments

Jim Jones spoke to Complex magazine about sneakers and how they were so influential to his life  growing up. He mentioned everything from the Adidas Shell-toe to Nike Cortez to the Puma Clyde. At about the 2:30 mark in the video, he says, “There’s a lot of cornballs with their own sneaker that I would never ever wear…” and at the very end he states, ” I have more than a hundred pairs of sneakers, but I didn’t wanna have nothing to do with those,” as the interviewer holds up a pair of the net/net (tan) Nike Air Yeezy. Not everyone believes the Air Yeezy looks good and Jimmy is entitled to his own opinion, but from Jim Jones’ hustler mentality, he should give Kanye credit for being the first non-athlete to hook up with Nike to do a sneaker.

• Net/Net Nike Air Yeezy Release at Villa
2 Comments

Villa in Cleveland released the net/net (tan) Nike Air Yeezy this past weekend, 2 weeks after the official release date, as a commemoration to their grand opening in the Cleveland area. The 2 week hold-up did not deter any individuals or slow down the hype of the Air Yeezy. Sneakerheads and Kanye West fans lined up several days before the June 20th release to ensure they received the last installment of the Air Yeezy trilogy, which may arguably go down as the most sought-after sneaker in Nike history. Villa is now officially the last retail store to sell the sneaker, so if you missed out, your best bet is to chance your luck on Ebay.
